Wellness Advanced Blood Test

The Essentials Blood Finger Stick Microtainer Turn Around Time: 2 Days

Description

The Wellness Advanced test includes 25 biomarkers that assess vital organ function and micronutrient status. This comprehensive combination of biomarkers provides valuable insights into liver function, kidney function, inflammation within the gastrointestinal tract, protein status, as well as specific minerals and vitamins. Since these systems can have an impact on each other, assessing them as a whole is particularly beneficial. It enables better pattern recognition to identify the source of a problem, rather than solely focusing on a single system and treating symptoms alone. By taking a holistic approach, the Wellness Advanced test allows for a more comprehensive understanding of overall health and facilitates targeted interventions when necessary.

Methodology

Eurofins is a UKAS-accredited medical laboratory (No. 9256). Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics UK offers an extensive repertoire of tests run on state-of-the-art analysers, including but not limited to Roche Cobas, Sysmex XN-2000, Stago, Alifax, and Tecan. Methodologies are carefully selected to ensure the highest quality of results, and alternative methodologies may be employed for confirmatory testing. Detailed information regarding the test methodologies can be found in our UKAS Scope of Accreditation. 9256 Medical Single (ukas.com)

When should I use

This test is best used when clients are experiencing symptoms related to liver or kidney issues and/or digestion problems that are not related to the microbiome. The test covers key proteins, enzymes, and specific micronutrients that impact detoxification, digestion, and transport. It is particularly useful when there is suspicion that more than one vital organ or system may be impacted and requires assessment.

Other Details

The Wellness Complete test includes all the markers from both the Wellness and Wellness Advanced tests. This can be advantageous for initial testing compared to the Wellness test alone, as it provides additional context regarding mineral levels that could further indicate the cause of red blood cell (RBC) issues. Additionally, the inclusion of full blood count markers adds context to digestive issues that can only be fully understood when both tests are combined. Fasting for a blood test:
In order to get the most accurate results, you should fast for 8 hours prior to taking a blood test. The best time to take your blood test is in the morning after having fasted overnight.
Make sure you’re hydrated: Drink 2-3 litres of plain water the day before and at least 500 ml 1-2 hours prior to taking the test. Hydration can affect your results and how well blood will flow from the pinprick site.

This kit must be used within 60 days of purchase.

Please be advised that all Omnos Lab Blood test ranges are based on optimal ranges and standard ranges for Adults 18+. Any use of these tests for under 18 year old patients must be interpreted by a qualified professional rather than using the given ranges.
