Thyroid Complete Blood Test [Venous]

Thyroid Blood (Venous) Turn Around Time: 2 Days
Create a Bundle

Description

The Thyroid Complete test includes 11 biomarkers that offer a comprehensive evaluation of thyroid function. Since the thyroid operates through a feedback loop system, it is crucial to assess the status of the critical components within this loop. By combining TSH, Total T4, Free T4, and Free T3, we can begin to identify key indicators of this feedback loop. Furthermore, the assessment of thyroid antibodies, Vitamin D, and lipid markers provides a deeper understanding of potential causes and effects involving the thyroid gland.

Methodology

Eurofins is a UKAS-accredited medical laboratory (No. 9256). Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics UK offers an extensive repertoire of tests run on state-of-the-art analysers, including but not limited to Roche Cobas, Sysmex XN-2000, Stago, Alifax, and Tecan. Methodologies are carefully selected to ensure the highest quality of results, and alternative methodologies may be employed for confirmatory testing. Detailed information regarding the test methodologies can be found in our UKAS Scope of Accreditation. 9256 Medical Single (ukas.com)

When should I use

The Thyroid Complete test is ideal for assessing thyroid function, whether it is the initial evaluation or a follow-up during a treatment process. Common symptoms associated with changes in thyroid function include fatigue, weight regulation issues, changes in temperature regulation, and reduced resilience.

Other Details

Thyroid function can be influenced by factors such as sex hormones, pituitary issues, liver function, and immune regulation. The Sex Hormone panel includes all the markers within the Thyroid test, along with a comprehensive assessment of sex hormone and pituitary markers, which can contribute to the overall assessment. Furthermore, The Wellness 360 test incorporates all the markers from the sex hormone panel and provides additional insights into liver and immune markers, thereby enhancing visibility regarding potential causal factors in more complex cases. Fasting for a blood test: In order to get the most accurate results, you should fast for 8 hours prior to taking a blood test. The best time to take your blood test is in the morning after having fasted overnight.
Make sure you’re hydrated: Drink 2-3 litres of plain water the day before and at least 500 ml 1-2 hours prior to taking the test. Hydration can affect your results and how well blood will flow from the pinprick site.

This kit must be used within 60 days of purchase.
