Create a Bundle

Description

The Sex Hormones Male test includes 24 biomarkers that provide a comprehensive assessment of hormones involved in male health. This test goes beyond examining classical male hormones and also evaluates the important feedback loops between the pituitary gland, thyroid, adrenal glands, and testicles. This approach allows for a thorough examination of not only imbalances but also the underlying reasons for potential patterns. Moreover, we also analyse key nutritional elements such as lipids and vitamin D, which contribute valuable insights to the overall assessment.

Methodology

Eurofins is a UKAS-accredited medical laboratory (No. 9256). Eurofins Clinical Diagnostics UK offers an extensive repertoire of tests run on state-of-the-art analysers, including but not limited to Roche Cobas, Sysmex XN-2000, Stago, Alifax, and Tecan. Methodologies are carefully selected to ensure the highest quality of results, and alternative methodologies may be employed for confirmatory testing. Detailed information regarding the test methodologies can be found in our UKAS Scope of Accreditation. 9256 Medical Single (ukas.com)

Other Details

While the Sex Hormones test provides a comprehensive assessment of hormone levels, it's worth noting that all of these markers are also included in our Wellness 360 test. The Wellness 360 test offers a more detailed analysis of metabolic function and vital organ function. It covers additional aspects such as blood sugar regulation and liver function, which can have a significant impact on overall hormone regulation. Therefore, when there is uncertainty about the origin of a problem or if it involves multiple systems, the Wellness 360 test can be a useful tool for gaining a broader understanding. Fasting for a blood test:
In order to get the most accurate results, you should fast for 8 hours prior to taking a blood test. The best time to take your blood test is in the morning after having fasted overnight.
Make sure you’re hydrated:
Drink 2-3 litres of plain water the day before and at least 500 ml 1-2 hours prior to taking the test. Hydration can affect your results and how well blood will flow from the pinprick site.

This kit must be used within 60 days of purchase.

Please be advised that all Omnos Lab Blood test ranges are based on optimal ranges and standard ranges for Adults 18+. Any use of these tests for under 18 year old patients must be interpreted by a qualified professional rather than using the given ranges.
